George Enescu (August 19, 1881 – May 4, 1955) was a Romanian composer, violinist, pianist, conductor and teacher. Enescu is considered one of the most important Romanian composers, as well as one of the most important composers of the twentieth century. His most famous compositions are his two Romanian Rhapsodies.
